Updates in Newborn Care/ Nursery Admissions PART TWO

THIS COURSE IS A CONTINUATION OF THE CLASS FROM FEBRUARY 22nd, 2022. Please do not register for the second portion without the first. This course will cover additional didactic topics following the combined didactic/simulation day, and will be presented virtually.

This class is a compilation of contemporary topics including respiratory disorders, sepsis evaluations and  care of the preterm infants, and incorporates simulation-based learning scenarios with didactic. Each portion of this class includes a section on communication and teamwork. The intended audience is newborn care providers including nurses and respiratory therapists, who are highly encouraged to attend as part of this team. This course is apporved through ONA for 5 CEUs (OBN-001-91). Criteria for awarding contact hours include: attendance for the entire session; completion/submission of the evaluation form on the day of the course; and participation/observation of each of the simulations offered on the day of the course.
